               Valle del Elqui



The summer of 2019 was one of the best trips I made with my friends to the Elqui Valley. We spent a week that was fast with very good plans.
We were five people on a small but great trip enjoying this beautiful place. 
The week we were there we walked along the beach of La Serena, at night we enjoyed a bar called "Tablón" that had live music and a very nice atmosphere.
  We strolled through the tourist fair in Vicuña and tried new ice cream flavors. Arriving at the Elqui Valley it was very hot but the scenery was beautiful, the first thing we did was to enter the pool and cool off. At night we went to the observatory where they explained to us how the observatory system worked and also how our eyes adapt to the dark, at what time we would see the stars, planets and their names. It was a very nice experience that I loved to live with my friends.

 To be honest I like English but it happens to me, I think that many people are embarrassed to speak it and from time to time I listen to a conversation and I understand them but when I have a dialogue with someone my head gets cloudy and I don't know how to respond. I think maybe I need more practice and leave the embarrassment aside to face it, for the same reason in college I tried not to talk so much but when it was time to have a presentation my nerves were on edge but I managed to do it.  On the use of blogs has been a great help with reading comprehension and a challenge to write that for me personally is one of the most difficult things to use the right words because the punctuation is not the same as in Spanish and I still get confused but I keep practicing.  I should definitely practice my conversations and writing. Nowadays in vacations the mind gets scattered but during the university stage I have to look for more practice, watching series in English repeating...

  Scotland   I would like to know Scotland, its lands and movie landscapes with its castles, stories and captivating colors. Its environment with lakes, forests and valleys that look magical, and its ancient infrastructure attracts my attention. In Scotland they have a lot of stories such as the legend of Loch Ness. Also learn more about the real history of the movie "Braveheart" and the national hero William Wallace.  I would like to be present at the celebration of the Scottish New Year better known as Hogmanay, this celebration attracts visitors from all over the world. I have thought in the future to visit the place and learn about their culture in order to study their art.

What a difficult choice between going to the future and going to the past, but since I have to decide between them I think I would choose to go to the past to witness some historical event. If I went to the past I would like to see the palace of Versace and the Sun King, I would like to see some of his dance works. King Louis XIV at the age of 13 years old began to present dance works in the same court and in 1653 he performed as the Rising Sun where his name remained as the Sun King. A fact that I find interesting about Louis XIV is that he wanted to achieve perfection that is why he transformed the garden of the palace of Versace with forms that are not natural. I don't know if I would stay in that place, I don't think so... but I would love to spend some time in that place, for that date, why wouldn't I like to stay there? Because it is a complicated time for women and as far as I know women did not participate so much in dance or theater so I would like to have more kno...
